About Magic Sword

Magic Word is a music band of 3 musicians from Boise in the northwestern state of the United States. They’re known to be masked with colored diodes under cloaks and to highlight a mystical belief around a prodigious sword. Creating a dark electronic music inspired by the 80s, they’re part of the Synthwave universe. Some guitar parts can classify them, for some tracks, in the Darksynth section.

Magic Sword was formed in 2013 by releasing an album named « Magic Sword Vol.1 » on the label « Tender Loving Empire » with a comic book with the same name. In 2015, two of their tracks « In The Face Of Evil » and « The Way Home » appeared in the compilation of the legendary game called « Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number ». In 2016, the trio released their first EP on Size Records (Fatboy Slim, Afrojack, Steve Angello, Kris Menace) entitled Legend EP. Given the success of this release, they took the opportunity to begin their first national tour. Nobody knows the true identity of the 3 artists that makes a growing mystery that they feed around a particular universe, worthy of a Heroic fantasy novel. Indeed, they created immortal characters named Keeper, Seer and Weaver that were created to protect this phenomenal sword. A formidable weapon that follows them to all their live performances where they play with guitar, synthesizer and drums. In late 2017, their legendary song « In The Face Of Evil » appeared in the official trailer of one of Marvel’s greatest hits, « Thor: Ragnarok ». To have more information about their story, please visit their official website. They’re currently touring with artists such as Mr. Kitty, Nite and Ceegix.
